Describes a time when Israel was ruled by judges and the cycle of turning away from God, facing trouble, and then returning to Him.

And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.

Then all the people also cut downe euery man his bough, and followed Abimelech, & put them to the holde, and set the holde on fire with them: so all the men of the towre of Shechem dyed also, about a thousand men and women.
