Describes a time when Israel was ruled by judges and the cycle of turning away from God, facing trouble, and then returning to Him.

Chapter 1

KJV - Judges 1:12

And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjathsepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

Caleb said, "If someone defeats Kirjathsepher and takes it, I'll give my daughter Achsah to them in marriage."
