Moses gives speeches about laws and the importance of following God before the Israelites enter the Promised Land.

Chapter 8

KJV - Deuteronomy 8:20

As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.

As countries that the LORD destroys in front of you, you will also be destroyed, because you did not listen to the LORD's voice, your God.
