2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Simple English
But when God's special day arrives, it will be sudden, like a thief at night; on that day, the sky and everything in it will disappear with a big noise, and everything will melt from intense heat, including the earth and all the things on it will be destroyed.
