Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 21

KJV - 1 Samuel 21:11

And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

Achish's servants asked him, "Isn't David the king here? They sang songs about him in their dances, saying that Saul killed thousands while David killed ten times as many."
