1 Samuel

Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 16

KJV - 1 Samuel 16:11

And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.

And Samuel asked Jesse, "Do you have all your kids here?" Jesse replied, "There's one more, the youngest; he's taking care of the sheep." Then Samuel told Jesse, "Go get him! We won't start until he arrives."
