Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 14

KJV - 1 Samuel 14:41

Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped.

So Saul asked the Lord God of Israel for a clear decision. Saul and Jonathan were chosen, but the people got away.
