Assures believers of eternal life through faith in Jesus and commands love for God and one another.

Chapter 3

KJV - 1 John 3:24

And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

If you follow God's rules, he lives with you, and you live with him. We know this because God's spirit stays with us.
