Chapter 16

KJV: Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

Geneva: Concerning the gathering for the Saintes, as I haue ordeined in the Churches of Galatia, so doe ye also.

KJV: Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Geneva: Euery first day of the weeke, let euery one of you put aside by himselfe, and lay vp as God hath prospered him, that then there be no gatherings when I come.

KJV: And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

Geneva: And when I am come, whomsoeuer ye shal alowe by letters, them will I send to bring your liberalitie vnto Hierusalem.

KJV: And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.

Geneva: And if it be meete that I goe also, they shall goe with me.

KJV: Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.

Geneva: Nowe I will come vnto you, after I haue gone through Macedonia (for I will passe through Macedonia.)

KJV: And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.

Geneva: And it may be that I will abide, yea, or winter with you, that ye may bring me on my way, whither soeuer I goe.

KJV: For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.

Geneva: For I will not see you nowe in my passage, but I trust to abide a while with you, if the Lord permit.

KJV: But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

Geneva: And I wil tary at Ephesus vntill Pentecost.

KJV: For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

Geneva: For a great doore and effectuall is opened vnto me: and there are many aduersaries.

KJV: Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.

Geneva: Nowe if Timotheus come, see that he be without feare with you: for he worketh the worke of the Lord, euen as I doe.

KJV: Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.

Geneva: Let no man therefore despise him: but conuey him foorth in peace, that he may come vnto me: for I looke for him with the brethren.

KJV: As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.

Geneva: As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him, to come vnto you with the brethren: but his mind was not at all to come at this time: howbeit he will come when he shall haue conuenient time.

KJV: Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Geneva: Watch ye: stand fast in the faith: quite you like men, and be strong.

KJV: Let all your things be done with charity.

Geneva: Let all your things be done in loue.

KJV: I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

Geneva: Nowe brethren, I beseeche you (ye knowe the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruites of Achaia, and that they haue giuen themselues to minister vnto the Saintes)

KJV: That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

Geneva: That ye be obedient euen vnto such, and to all that helpe with vs and labour.

KJV: I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.

Geneva: I am glad of the comming of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus: for they haue supplied the want of you.

KJV: For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.

Geneva: For they haue comforted my spirite and yours: acknowledge therefore such men.

KJV: The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

Geneva: The Churches of Asia salute you: Aquila and Priscilla with ye Church that is in their house, salute you greatly in the Lord.

KJV: All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.

Geneva: All the brethren greete you. Greete ye one another, with an holy kisse.

KJV: The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand.

Geneva: The salutation of me Paul with mine owne hand.

KJV: If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

Geneva: If any man loue not the Lord Iesus Christ, let him be had in execration maran-atha.

KJV: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Geneva: The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you.

KJV: My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
