1 Samuel 9:9
(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
Simple English
In the past, when people in Israel wanted to ask God for guidance, they would say, "Let's go to the person who can see into the future. In those days, we called him a 'Prophet,' but now we call him a 'Seer.'"
